Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and caring Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in a Full-Time position. As an SLPA, you will play a crucial role in fostering the speech and language development of young children, working closely with educators, parents, and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language screenings under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to identify areas of need and develop targeted interventions.
  • Implement therapeutic activities and interventions based on treatment plans developed by the SLP to support the communication goals of young children.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with children to improve their communication skills, using evidence-based practices and strategies.
  • Assist in preparing materials and resources for therapy sessions, ensuring a supportive and engaging environment for children.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records as required by regulations, providing valuable insights for educators and parents.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to support speech and language goals in classroom and home environments, promoting a cohesive and supportive team approach.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field, with a strong foundation in speech and language development.
  • Arizona state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), demonstrating a commitment to professional development and excellence.
  • Experience working with young children, particularly in early childhood or educational settings, with a proven track record of success in supporting communication development.
  • Knowledge of speech and language disorders and therapy techniques, with a focus on evidence-based practices and strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and families, promoting a positive and supportive team culture.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely records.
