Driscoll Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Outpatient Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Staff Nurse - Outpatient, you will provide direct nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing the nursing process to plan and deliver effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized care to patients, prioritizing their needs and developing a plan of care that reflects their unique requirements.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Administer medications and other therapeutic treatments, recognizing abnormal responses and initiating corrective therapy as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying trends in patient care outcomes and contributing to practice change and staff education.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective care, delegating tasks appropriately and overseeing delegated tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current RN license in the State of Texas.
- BLS certification required before hire.
- Advanced Specialty Courses (ASC) and National Certification in specialty required within 3 years of completing orientation.
