As a Director of Taxation at Forvis, you will engage collaboratively with colleagues to strategize for the future, assisting successful enterprises and their proprietors in navigating complexities, coordinating tax initiatives, and fostering growth. Your role will involve providing genuine support to both teammates and clients, maintaining regular communication to grasp their business dynamics and industry specifics.
Your Contributions Will Include:
- Delivering tax compliance and advisory services to individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and corporations across diverse sectors.
- Facilitating the development, cultivation, and management of client relationships.
- Overseeing, mentoring, and coaching professional tax personnel.
- Evaluating returns prepared by tax associates and seniors.
- Effectively assigning responsibilities to team members and monitoring engagement efforts.
- Conducting thorough research on intricate tax matters, applying insights to projects, and articulating findings clearly in written form.
- Maintaining frequent interactions with high-level client personnel and consistently promoting additional services.
- Employing a disciplined approach to attract new clients and develop referral networks.
We Seek Individuals Who Possess:
- Experience in managing multiple client engagements.
- Exceptional client relationship and time management abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail while maintaining a broad perspective.
- Strong supervisory and organizational skills.
- Capability to perform efficiently under pressure and meet client deadlines.
- Advanced analytical and reasoning capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 9 years in public accounting or a corporate tax environment.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A valid CPA license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Taxation or a Juris Doctor degree.
- Experience with partnership taxation.
