We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Merit Health River Oaks. As a critical care specialist, you will play a vital role in providing quality care to our patients in the neonatal intensive care unit.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient needs, formulate a plan of care, and provide care based on identified needs and physician orders according to standards, policy, and procedure.
- Develop and implement patient education plans, communicating and collaborating with other team members to facilitate delivery of care.
- Supervise licensed practical nurses and unlicensed personnel, serving as a preceptor to orientees and nursing graduates.
- Work effectively with medical staff, administrative personnel, and other members of the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the quality and quantity of care, intervening as necessary to address care problems.
- Oversee unit operations in the absence of the Director or CNO, collaborating with them as needed.
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Mississippi.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- At least six months to one year of experience in neonatal critical care or intensive care, with a strong preference for NICU experience.
