About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Potawatomi Federal Solutions. As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our information systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and track network audit log files to identify potential security threats.
  • Evaluate ACAS scans to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions.
  • Report IAVA status on the NETOPS Reporting Tool to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Provide interface with the CTNOSC for reporting various security issues.
  • Support Security Risk Assessment activities to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Manage the Risk Management Framework Program to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Manage the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management program to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Perform IA oversight and inspections to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Represent the team at the RRMC Change/Configuration board meetings to ensure security considerations are taken into account.
  • Manage hardware and software changes to ensure they do not introduce security risks.
  • Determine abnormalities, attacks, damages, and unauthorized modifications in the network to ensure prompt action is taken to mitigate potential security risks.
  • Support the on-boarding of new customers to the Joint Consolidated Server Room (JCSR) to ensure security considerations are taken into account.
  • Provide on-going training and technical direction to users and other team members pertaining to IA to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties securely.
Requirements
  • Two (2) years' experience working in the Cyber Security/ Information Security field.
  • A Bachelor's degree in an IT, Computer Science or Cyber Security related field; or four (4) years of equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Comp TIA Security+ certification.
  • eMASS certified.
  • CISSP, CISM or equivalent Security certification.
Working Conditions
  • Basic office work environment at a government facility location.
  • Hours of operation are Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm.
  • Occasionally, project requirements may require temporary adjustment of work hours/days.
  • Duties are subject to change based on the needs of the customer.
  • This is an onsite position.
