Job Summary

As a Transportation Security Officer with the Transportation Security Administration, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of the traveling public. You will be responsible for screening passengers and their belongings, as well as operating various security equipment and technology to identify potential threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen passengers and their belongings using X-ray machines and other security equipment
  • Operate various security technology, including metal detectors and explosives detection systems
  • Conduct pat-downs and searches of passengers and their belongings
  • Monitor security cameras and respond to alarms
  • Work collaboratively with other security personnel to ensure the safety and security of the airport
Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship or national status
  • Age 18 or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and drug test
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Working Conditions
