Job Overview

As a Labor and Employment Attorney at Tully Rinckey, you will be responsible for providing top-notch legal counsel, representing clients in disputes, and handling a wide range of labor and employment matters. The ideal candidate will have an interest or direct experience in representing individuals in employment-related claims against the federal government and New York private employment matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal representation to clients in labor disputes, employment discrimination cases, wage and hour claims, and other employment-related matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
  • Draft pleadings, including motions, discovery requests and responses, and other substantive filings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to prepare for litigation and arbitration.
  • Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, conferences, depositions, administrative hearings, and court proceedings.
  • Develop strategies to minimize risk and efficiently resolve disputes.
  • Stay updated with changes in labor and employment law and advise clients accordingly.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in at least one US State Jurisdiction (preferably New York) in good standing. Additionally, you should have interest or direct experience in representing individuals in employment-related claims against the federal government, as well as understanding of state employment statutes, codes, and regulations.

Estimated Salary Range: $180,000 - $250,000 per year
