About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Geospatial Program Manager to join our team in New Orleans, LA. The primary responsibility of a Geospatial Program Manager is to develop, implement, and manage a major component of one or more business lines within a business unit to promote future business and services. The Geospatial Program Manager is expected to work closely with the customer, know their mission, and be familiar with their overall priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine resource and execution requirements to support clients' programs.
  • Monitor resource allocation to maximize efficient and effective management of business unit programs.
  • Develop new approaches to advance techniques, tools, and program management of business units to meet the needs of clients.
  • Advocate and encourage lessons learned exchange and technology transfer within business units.
  • Monitor the performance of project managers' execution of client programs within business units.
  • Offer mentoring and encouragement to individual team members to promote team unity, harmony, and overall efficiency.
  • Deliver oral and written presentations.
  • Lead the production of proposals, SOQs, and other marketing/promotion materials to build practice.
  • May lead negotiations of fee offers, scopes of work, and contracts of work.
  • Lead program teams and facilitate communication and interaction between organizations and clients.
  • May perform as project manager on strategic projects or in resolution of technical and/or performance-related problems.
  • Develop and maintain positive customer and client relationships to foster repeat business.
  • Update and maintain a body of knowledge related to training, degree, or job responsibilities.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned as company needs dictate.
Requirements
  • Strong relationships with Federal Government (DoD and non-DOD) or Energy Operators/Private Utility - Geospatial Programs and Executive Leadership.
  • History of managing multiple multidisciplinary projects.
  • Ability to provide high-level technical design oversight.
  • Willingness to mentor staff.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager for GIS projects, GISP Required.
  • Ability to demonstrate, enhance, and expand GIS services to Federal Government (DoD and non-DOD) or Energy Operators/Private Utility.
  • Ability to manage multiple GIS projects and project tasks.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high-quality work.
  • Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will supervise GIS Project Managers and/or Task Managers, which requires monitoring performance and conducting annual performance reviews.

Additional Information

Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge, and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Program Manager with a salary range of $111, $180.
