Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Dentist to join our team at Comprehensive Community Action. As a Pediatric Mobile Dentist, you will be responsible for providing clinical dental services and preventive dental care in a pediatric mobile setting. This is a full-time or part-time position that requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine individuals requesting care, diagnose their dental/oral conditions, and prescribe or direct others in carrying out appropriate dental/oral treatment.
  • Record patient-dentist transactions in the patient's dental record, ensuring accurate and complete reflection of the nature of the contact, condition of the patient, and care or treatment provided.
  • Educate individuals in oral health-related conditions and promote oral health disease prevention.
  • Participate in short- and long-term program planning for the Dental Department and the agency, including development of goals and objectives.
  • Provide consultation to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors regarding dental and oral health issues.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited dental school.
  • Completion of an accredited general practice residency program is preferred.
  • Ability to be clinically fluent in Spanish is preferred.
  • Knowledge of public health principles and practices is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate clinical privileges is required, and hospital privileges are preferred.
  • FTCA coverage or private professional malpractice insurance is obtainable.
  • Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of RI is required (not applicable to commissioned NHSC/PHS officers).
  • Current CPR (BLS) certifications are required, and ACLS is preferred.
  • Rhode Island DPS and DEA registrations are required.
  • Medicare and Medicaid provider numbers are required.
