Job Summary:

We are seeking Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMTs) to join our team at AMR. As an AEMT, you will respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities:

Provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services by utilizing appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
Operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow co-workers.

Other Responsibilities:

Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
State Driver's License
National or State Advanced EMT certification
CPR/BLS certifications
Driving record in compliance with company policy
Pass a Physical Agility Test

Working Conditions and Mental/Physical Requirements:

Working conditions include availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, extended workdays. Long periods inside the ambulance. May work indoors or outdoors with exposure to weather. Possible routine exposure to moderate noise levels. May periodically work in poorly lit environments in a moving vehicle.

Physical demands include moderate to extended amounts of sitting, standing, and walking. Some repetitive motion activities. Routinely lifting more than 200 lbs. with assistance. Pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, carrying, typing, and stair climbing. Visual identification of color-coded items. Clear speech and hearing. Must be able to wear a face mask or respirator with proper fit for extended periods when required.
