Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our team at Hornets Sports & Entertainment. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in the health and wellness of our athletes, providing expert care and support to ensure they are able to perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide injury evaluation, management, and rehabilitation services to team athletes
  • Collaborate with Swarm physicians and medical personnel to ensure comprehensive care for players
  • Assist with injury reporting and documentation, maintenance of medical charts
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and restocking of clinical and clerical supplies
  • Maintain a clean and organized athletic training room and other designated areas
  • Stay up-to-date with continuing education and maintain good standing with the National Athletic Trainers' Association
  • Organize and manage team locker rooms, coaches' offices, and visiting team locker rooms
  • Assist with facilitating league-required drug testing and ensuring compliance with league policies and procedures
  • Supervise and delegate basketball operation-related duties for team attendants during game nights
Requirements
  • Masters' degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent training/experience
  • Appropriate education, training, and certification with the National Athletic Trainers' Association
  • Experience as a certified athletic trainer in a competitive athletic environment, with experience in professional basketball or other professional sports preferred
  • Additional related education and training, such as strength and conditioning certifications or physical therapy certifications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and interact with all levels of the organization and outside contacts
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, with outstanding leadership and motivational skills
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and prioritize work activities efficiently
