Job Title: Removable Dental Technician

Johns Dental Lab is seeking a skilled Removable Dental Technician to join our team. As a key member of our dental prosthetics department, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality removable dental appliances, including dentures and partials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret dental prescriptions and work orders from dentists and other dental professionals.
  • Utilize molds of patients' teeth or oral soft tissues to create accurate models for removable dental appliances.
  • Work with a variety of materials to craft the dental appliances.
  • Maintain accurate records of the design specifications and the materials used for each project.
  • Regularly clean and maintain equipment and tools used in the creation of removable dental devices.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and technologies in the dental technology field.
  • Ensure that all safety and sanitation standards are strictly adhered to in the lab environment.
  • Participate in training sessions to learn new techniques and improve your skills.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Technical diploma or certification in Dental Technology, preferably with a focus on removable prosthetics.
  • Detailed understanding of dental anatomy and the physiological movements of the jaw and mouth.
  • Expertise in working with different materials used in the fabrication of dental prostheses.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and dexterity necessary for intricate technical work.
  • Capable of interpreting complex dental prescriptions and technical instructions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to crafting high-quality dental appliances.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, sharing skills and learning from peers.
  • Excellent time management skills and the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
