Surgical Technologist

Job Summary:

The Surgical Technologist is a vital member of the healthcare team, providing support to surgeons, nursing staff, and the anesthesia team in the operating room. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Arranges and maintains a clean and organized operating room environment
Assists the surgical team with preparing patients for surgery, including scrubbing and dressing
Passes instruments and sterile supplies to the surgical team during procedures
Maintains accurate counts of instruments and supplies
Operates and maintains equipment, including sterilizers and suction machines

Requirements:

2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
Current BLS certification
Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program
Certification with the Association of Surgical Technologists preferred
