Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced RF Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and transitioning high-power microwave amplifiers, known as traveling wave tubes (TWTs), from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop TWTs, ensuring compliance with corporate and government policies, and meeting contractual requirements and performance specifications.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to maintain high yield and production throughput.
- Use state-of-the-art design codes and methods to ensure well-designed, robust, and reliable products.
- Collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines to determine the cause of yield issues and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Monitor product lines to identify areas for improvement, including increased performance margin, reliability, or ease of manufacture.
- Master's degree in engineering, electrical preferred, or physics, or a bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of directly related experience.
- Active government security clearance or the ability to attain/maintain government security clearance.
- Ability to travel approximately 10% domestically and internationally.
- Basic knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen.
- Knowledge of HFSS, MAXWELL, and/or CST, with programming skills in Python or similar tools.
- Microwave electronics, power electronics, high vacuum processing, and high voltage practices.
