Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic II to join our team at System Studies and Simulation, Inc. in Vance AFB, OK. As a key member of our aviation projects, you will be responsible for modifying the T-6A aircraft to install the Automated Backup Oxygen System. Your technical expertise will be essential in supervising subordinate mechanics and providing guidance on maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply technical knowledge to perform modifications on the T-6A aircraft, including installation of the Automated Backup Oxygen System.
  • Maintain and repair aircraft structures and components, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
  • Inspect and supervise the work of Mechanic Is and IIs, ensuring high-quality maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and higher-level technicians to resolve complex problems and ensure compliance with technical documentation.
  • Provide own tool kit and maintain accurate records of aircraft maintenance.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with aircraft modification installation, including drilling, cutting, or punching sheet metal.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, including blueprints and TCTO instructions.
  • Knowledge of aircraft environmental systems and oxygen servicing is highly desired.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills to meet project schedules.
