The Simulator Maintenance Technician II plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of simulation equipment. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and practical experience in the field of electronics and radio frequency systems.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize extensive technical knowledge to address intricate issues by interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
- Demonstrate proficiency through consistent and satisfactory performance as a radio frequency technician, with a minimum of four years in the maintenance and support of high-power RF transmitter, receiver, and antenna systems.
- Conduct tasks such as component replacement, circuit wiring, and complex electronic equipment repairs, while utilizing standard testing instruments like digital multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Exhibit familiarity with computer systems and operations, effectively functioning in a technology-driven environment.
- Plan work sequences judiciously, considering the interrelationship of circuits and selecting appropriate tools and testing equipment.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians as needed.
- Carry out comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance on simulation equipment.
- Be prepared to work various shifts and weekends as required by operational needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
The pay rate for this position is competitive, starting at $48.79 per hour, with additional compensation for time off as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Valiant Integrated Services considers various factors when determining salary, including market data and individual qualifications.
This role includes a comprehensive benefits package, as detailed in the CBA.
Qualifications- A minimum of four years of simulator maintenance experience, along with a degree from a two-year Electronics Technician program at an accredited institution or equivalent.
- Experience in networking and maintaining simulator computer systems or systems of similar complexity.
- Preferred candidates will possess an Information Assurance (IA) certification of A+ or higher.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens, capable of obtaining a U.S. passport, and possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be eligible for a government security investigation and able to maintain a minimum of a SECRET clearance for access to classified information.
