Job Summary:
The Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Otolaryngology physician to join our team at the Huntington VA Medical Center. As an Otolaryngologist, you will provide consultation and care for our patients in the Department of Surgery, evaluating and treating patients for any disease that requires ENT surgery and/or treatment to achieve palliation or cure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consultation and care for patients in the Department of Surgery
- Evaluate and treat patients for any disease that requires ENT surgery and/or treatment
- Screen outpatients and inpatients to determine need for further care
- Perform initial histories and physical examinations on inpatients and outpatients
- Perform major and minor surgical procedures
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic studies such as lab tests, x-rays, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and CT scans
Requirements:
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Otolaryngology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong clinical and surgical skills
- Ability to provide high-quality patient care
