Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team at The Woman's Hospital of Texas. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine, complex, or specialized bacteriological, hematological, chemical, immunological, serological, and immunoassay procedures on body fluids. You will also communicate effectively with other care providers to provide for continuity of patient care and to meet the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine, complex, or specialized bacteriological, hematological, chemical, immunological, serological, and immunoassay procedures on body fluids.
  • Communicate effectively with other care providers to provide for continuity of patient care and to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Demonstrate accuracy for all testing performed.
  • Perform related quality control and required proficiency testing according to policy and procedure.
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in a Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science (MT/CLS) from an accredited institution.
  • MLT (ASCP) or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.
