Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at AbiMar Foods. This role is responsible for sourcing raw materials and packaging materials, including purchase order placement, delivery confirmation, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and manage inventory for non-critical ingredients and packaging supplies, including submitting purchase orders to vendors and verifying receipt on time.
  • Monitor and adjust deliveries on a daily basis to meet production needs.
  • Manage off-site inventory at AbiMar DCs and supplier-held inventories.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and participate in bi-yearly inventory counts and reconciliation.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of related experience in procurement, inventory management, or a related field.
  • Freight, logistics, and inventory management experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and computer proficiency in MS Office are required.
