Registered Nurse Relief Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Relief Supervisor to join our team at Bassett Healthcare Network. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities- Assume responsibility for the management of nursing services on designated shifts, including the supervision of nursing staff and the coordination of patient care.
- Determine the quality of nursing care by observing residents, reviewing charts and care plans, and communicating with staff and physicians.
- Assist the Charge Nurse in assessing resident needs, identifying nursing diagnoses, and developing care plans.
- Participate in the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education and training to nursing staff on new procedures, policies, and best practices.
- Conduct regular rounds to observe the effectiveness of care and make recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care, including progress notes and incident reports.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new programs and services.
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York.
- One year of experience as a general staff nurse, with a minimum of two years of nursing supervision experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
- Knowledge of nursing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
