Job Summary

We are seeking a Substitute Nutrition Assistant to join our team at Thomaston-Upson Schools. As a key member of our food service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and staff
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals in accordance with established recipes and guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and storage of food and supplies
  • Collaborate with the School Nutrition Manager to ensure seamless meal service operations
  • Perform related duties as required, including special events and meal functions
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in food service or nutrition preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and special events
