Paving Crew Screed Technician Job DescriptionThe Paving Crew Screed Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and proper operation of the screed, including daily maintenance and control of automated screed.
Key Responsibilities:- Compliance with Safety Standards: Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures, reporting accidents, incidents, and near misses to uphold our Number One Core Value – Safety above all else.
- Material Handling: Operate the paver and control material taken from it, measuring yield on the jobsite.
- Maintenance of Safe Working Conditions: Ensure compliance with all Middlesex Safety Policies and Procedures, identifying potential hazards and maintaining a safe work environment for team members.
- Regular Meetings and Communications: Participate in the Daily Huddle and attend Weekly Toolbox Talks.
- Accident Reporting: Report accidents, incidents, and near misses immediately.
- Equipment Maintenance: Complete an Equipment Condition Report Daily.
- Project Challenges: Inform your supervisor immediately of any project challenges.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years screed operation experience.
- Safety Orientation: Safety and quality oriented.
- Work Ethic: Strong work ethic.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Organized; ability to multi-task; detail-oriented.
- Collaboration: Team player with good interpersonal skills.
