Job Summary

TLC Nursing Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Med-Surg RN. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and educational needs, and develop individualized care plans to address their unique requirements.
  • Medication Administration and Management: Safely administer medications, including IV therapy and blood products, and monitor patients for potential side effects and interactions.
  • Diagnostic Testing and Procedures: Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures, such as lab work and imaging studies, and ensure that patients are properly prepared and informed.
  • Vital Sign Monitoring and Documentation: Continuously monitor and record patients' vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation, and document all care provided in the medical record.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
  • Patient Education and Support: Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies, and provide emotional support and guidance as needed.
  • Unit Maintenance and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe environment in the unit, and ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly stored and utilized.
Qualifications
  • Current RN License: Possess a current and active RN license in the state of practice.
  • Education and Experience: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) and have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Med-Surg RN.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Possess strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Certifications: Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
