Job Summary

We are seeking a certified surgical technician to join our team in an outpatient setting. As a surgical technician, you will assist in preparing patients for surgery, maintaining aseptic techniques, and ensuring the proper handling of specimens and cultures.

Responsibilities

* Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including ensuring all required items are in place prior to scheduled operative cases.
* Maintain aseptic techniques, including gowning, gloving, and OR suite traffic control.
* Assist in transporting patients, case carts, and equipment prior to and after completion of each surgical case.
* Participate in OR suite turn around, including cleaning and case cart management.
* Ensure the proper handling of specimens and cultures in accordance with hospital procedures and best practices.

Requirements

* Certified surgical technician with a strong understanding of aseptic techniques and OR suite protocols.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with registered nurses and physicians.
