We are seeking a highly skilled Airworthiness Inspector Sr A&P to join our team at General Dynamics. As a key member of our Quality Assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our aircraft and components.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Control Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft and components to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, repairs, and alterations, ensuring that all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with technicians, leads, and supervisors to ensure that all quality control processes are followed and that any issues are promptly addressed.
- Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to subordinate mechanics and technicians on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure that all regulatory requirements, including FAR Part 145, are met and that our repair station is in compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required; 6 years of aircraft inspection experience, including 3 years on large or mid-size aircraft, and Airframe and Powerplant License.
- Skills and Qualifications: Proficient in Federal Aviation Regulations, FAA forms and documents; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively prioritize tasks; strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word; minimum 20 WPM typing speed.
This is a full-time position with up to 25% travel required. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
