Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering physical therapy programs aimed at assisting clients/patients/residents in recovering and enhancing their mobility. Your role will include:
  • Conducting thorough examinations and evaluations of clients affected by injury or disease.
  • Implementing physical therapy interventions while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Documenting client information for assessment and establishing therapeutic plans.
  • Educating clients and their families on treatment plans and self-exercises for home continuation.
  • Applying age-appropriate treatments and evaluations tailored to client needs.
  • Integrating current research into daily treatment practices.
  • Providing treatment to individuals across all age groups with diverse diagnoses.

Additionally, you will:
  • Supervise assistants, aides, and students in delivering care and treatment.
  • Offer ongoing education and training to peers in your areas of expertise.
  • Participate in departmental promotional activities.

Qualifications:
To qualify, you must possess the appropriate educational background as per state licensure requirements and hold a valid license as a Physical Therapist. A valid driver's license may be necessary. You will also need to obtain and maintain required competencies and certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers within the first 60 days of employment.
