Preston and Company, a CPA Firm based in Chadds Ford, PA, is seeking an experienced Tax Associate/Staff Accountant to join our team. This role offers a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications.
As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, payroll taxes, and individual and business tax returns. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks is essential, with knowledge of Pro Series tax program being a significant advantage.
The ideal candidate should have 1-2+ years' experience in accounting/finance, with excellent verbal communication and effective business writing skills. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required, with strong client relationship skills and a desire to learn accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities- Apply general accounting and audit procedures
- Assist in compilations, reviews and audits
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and post/review client transactions
- Prepare individual, entity and payroll tax returns with advanced knowledge of tax law
- Manage and process payroll
- Learn and utilize firm accounting software
- Provide professional, courteous client service
