Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to lead the development and delivery of core technologies for our Optical Components. As a key member of our team, you will engage with supplier engineers and Apple multi-functional teams to drive the technical, operational, and quality aspects of the Optical Manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the technical and operational aspects of the Optical Manufacturing process to ensure operational success of the entire product introduction cycle.
  • Work with suppliers and internal multi-functional teams to drive yield, efficiency, and other target production metrics.
  • Executive-level status reports including build readiness review, new product review, etc.
  • Drive lessons learned into designs and use predictive methods to anticipate and avoid issues early in the development cycle.
  • Call out key concerns and options timely for resolutions to senior management.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in the high-tech industry, with a strong foundation in manufacturing processes.
  • BS or MS in a related Engineering discipline.
  • Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally as needed, up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools like Tableau, JMP, SPC, DOE, and quality control methods, including Root Cause Analysis, 8D, 5 Whys, and FACA.
  • Analyze data from factory, customer, field to develop action plans and decisions based on the data.
  • Demonstrated leadership in driving problem-solving initiatives, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams to deliver effective solutions, particularly in high-volume production environments.
  • Significant experience in introducing products into manufacturing and/or high-volume production, preferably with Asia-based manufacturing suppliers.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a consistent track record of presenting complex information clearly to large cross-functional teams and executives.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills to support project management efforts.
  • Self-motivated, with attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to anticipate and address issues early in the development cycle.
  • Understanding of optical lens design, processes, and testing, or automation is a plus.
  • PhD preferred.
