Polysomnography Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.

• Perform comprehensive evaluations and treatments of sleep disorders using polysomnography and other diagnostic techniques.
• Assist in troubleshooting, upgrading, and maintaining SDC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct quality assurance monitoring and product evaluation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Provide patient services from pediatric to geriatric age groups, demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.

• Two years' post-high school education in a scientific field, such as physical sciences, mathematics, or statistics.
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based computer programs for data collection and analysis.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Interpersonal and communication skills to promote positive relationships with patients and other staff.
• Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in polysomnography, or equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician.
• Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent.
