About this Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team at the Correctional Facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral and psychiatric nursing care and be able to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic level of general nursing and behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients in accordance with the Mental Health Program Guide, policies and procedures, and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely healthcare to patients.
  • Support the care team for daily healthcare operations and communicate effectively with patients and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Address the ongoing needs of patients and work with the healthcare team to promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of healthcare resources.
Requirements
  • Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE.
  • Experience in behavioral and psychiatric nursing care, preferably in a correctional setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
