About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our team and contribute to our mission of using artificial intelligence, design, data engineering, and modern software development methods to positively impact the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with external clients to assess drivers of quality, engagement, and utilization
  • Identify and quantify potential areas of clinical quality, financial, technical, and operational improvement
  • Extract, analyze, and interpret data from various domains
  • Interface with executive leadership, subject matter experts, end users, technology vendors, and stakeholders to ensure cross-functional buy-in
  • Establish effective and efficient operating models within complex projects
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses as needed for clients
  • Ideate, develop, and document new processes for ad-hoc data extracts and analysis; develop and maintain reports; identify issues, including defects in logic or data quality; capture business requirements, including data definitions
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
  • BA/BS Degree preferred in a quantitative discipline
  • Proficiency with modern approaches in data analytics, including statistics, machine learning, and econometrics
  • Solid understanding of at least one programming language with extensive support for data analytics, such as Python and/or R
  • Proficiency with geospatial concepts and experience with ArcGIS
  • Hands-on experience using and programming data and BI tools, data visualizations tools, querying language, statistical software, and general health service research and outcomes reporting-analytics
  • Ability to learn and engage effectively with new technologies, explore and extract data, identify data gaps, and propose strategic recommendations to clients' senior leadership
  • Comfortable leading internal discussions and external client meetings, summarizing and effectively communicating complex data findings to a wider audience
  • Ability to contribute to client-facing dialogue and help stakeholders understand data output while facilitating the development of analytical reporting solutions to meet business needs
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Experience with multiple business intelligence tools and data mining technologies
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment
  • Experience with understanding business context for analytics to help address performance issues and identify drivers that impact business performance
  • Ability to create visually compelling and user-centered presentations or interfaces
  • Versed in a variety of technology stacks, including Confluence, Jira, Trello, Google, AWS, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, and open-source tools
  • Ability to obtain DHS Suitability
