Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to work with our team of professionals in providing comprehensive, integrated care to children with autism. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric occupational therapy, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with children and families.
Responsibilities:- Design and implement individualized occupational therapy plans for children with autism, focusing on gross motor, fine motor, and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with other clinical team members, including speech therapists, psychologists, and behavior analysts, to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify areas of strength and weakness in children's occupational performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance children's participation in daily activities, including feeding, dressing, and bathing.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other support staff to ensure seamless integration of occupational therapy goals into their therapy sessions.
- Regularly monitor client progress, revising treatment plans and objectives as needed, and ensuring effective communication with team members and families.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy with a focus on pediatrics or a related field.
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with children with autism or related developmental disorders.
- Strong understanding of and commitment to early intervention and integrated care approaches.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a passion for supporting the growth and development of children with autism.
