Job Title: Registered Nurse Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Putnam Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our skilled nursing facility, ensuring the highest level of care and quality of life for our residents.

Job Summary:
  • Full-time or part-time positions available
  • Shifts available: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday (4pm - 12am) and Sundays 8am - 4pm

As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organizing and overseeing unit activities and staff assignments
  • Providing clinical expertise and guidance to nursing staff
  • Identifying and responding to patient needs in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Monitoring and documenting vital signs, treatments, and patient responses
  • Administering medications and treatments as needed
  • Communicating with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and other vendors/services
  • Performing RN assessments and leading emergency situations
  • Maintaining accurate nursing reports, staffing sheets, and census rosters
Requirements:
  • Current and good standing RN License in the State of New York
  • Previous experience with geriatric/short-term rehabilitation/Alzheimer's patients is desirable
  • Progressive nursing experience in a geriatric setting, with supervisory experience preferred
  • Dedicated to providing extraordinary, quality, compassionate care to each resident
  • Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes challenging residents
  • Have patience and willingness to assist any residents and co-workers
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organization skills
  • Able to work well under pressure, flexible, and will work harmoniously with all staff
  • Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but not mandated
