Position Overview

Young Engineers of Greater San Diego is dedicated to delivering engaging STEM-focused programs for individuals of all ages. We are proud to not only shape the minds of the youth but also to create employment opportunities within our community.

In this role, you will lead our after-school STEM and Lego construction sessions. Throughout these activities, you will utilize motorized Lego kits to convey essential STEM concepts. Participants will also engage in constructing motorized Lego models to apply the theories you introduce.

No prior expertise in science or Lego construction is necessary. Our comprehensive training will cover all fundamental STEM principles as well as the required skills for Lego assembly.

Key Qualifications:

  • A genuine enthusiasm for educating and mentoring children
  • Experience working with elementary school-aged youth
  • Familiarity with the Common Core educational standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • A reliable vehicle for transportation is essential
  • Availability to work five days a week

Additional Information:

This is a part-time role.

Compensation ranges from $16.50 to $18 per hour.
