We are seeking a skilled Produce Specialist to join our team at Sendiks Fine Foods Inc. This is a full-time position that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

The Produce Specialist will be responsible for cutting and packaging fruits and vegetables for retail display, ensuring high-quality products and exceptional customer service. This role involves working closely with other departments to meet daily needs and maintain a positive shopping environment for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cutting and Packaging: Ensure correct handling, cutting, packaging, and wrapping of product; rotate stock for freshness; remove spoiled/damaged product from display; mark down old product; straighten displays, build displays; handle product carefully to avoid damage.
  • Customer Service: Assist customers with questions or requests; take special orders; answer questions about product location/usage; answer department phone calls and questions in a timely and consistent manner; refer customers to the proper area or individual for help.
  • Store and Department Policies: Follow all store and department policies and procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you must have excellent physical stamina, as lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. is required. Additionally, you should possess strong mental skills, including judgment/decision making, listening skills, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, and math. You will also be exposed to cold temperatures (35-40 degrees) in this role.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
