This position is open to all U.S. Citizens, Status Candidates, and Non-Competitive Authority Eligibles. The Realty Specialist will be responsible for performing developmental duties in land management, including adjudicating applications, creating serial register pages, and conducting compliance inspections.
Key Responsibilities- Adjudicate and review applications for land use and realty actions.
- Create and update serial register pages in the MLRS system.
- Send 29-day reminder letters to stakeholders.
- Process minor ROWs and other authorizations.
- Conduct compliance inspections and update workload spreadsheets.
- Update land records and enter or update LRAM or MLRS.
- Run expiration date reports and notices.
- Manage electronic and hard copy files.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- May be required to complete a background investigation.
- Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirements for males.
- Must provide a resume and supporting documents prior to the closing date.
- Cannot hold an active real estate license or have an interest in firms with interest in Federal Lands.
- Must be eligible to obtain a government charge card for travel purposes.
To be considered minimally qualified, applicants must demonstrate specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level. For the GS-07 level, applicants must have one full year of experience performing tasks such as gathering and analyzing information, assisting with land ownership and status, and engaging with the public. For the GS-09 level, applicants must have one full year of experience performing tasks such as consulting on realty transactions, leading on-site compliance examinations, and preparing responses to inquiries.
Applicants must meet time-in-grade requirements and provide transcripts from an accredited college or university. Volunteer experience is also considered. A review of the resume and supporting documentation will be made to determine eligibility.
