We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Project Director to oversee commercial renovation projects from conception to completion. As a key member of the Cennox team, this individual will be responsible for managing project teams, collaborating with clients, establishing relationships with subcontractors, and contributing to daily office operations. The ideal candidate should have extensive project management experience in construction, interior finish knowledge, strong oral and written communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office tools.

This position's key responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of projects from inception to completion, encompassing construction site surveys, budgeting, client negotiations, subcontractor onboarding, project scheduling, and close-out tasks.
  • Key duties include:
    • Determining the scope of work and deliverables
    • Forecasting resources needed to complete the project
    • Obtaining necessary permits and approvals
    • Drafting and submitting budgets based on scope and resource requirements
    • Managing costs to meet budget expectations
    • Providing direction over contracts and subcontracts
    • Coordinating construction schedules and activities with onsite superintendents
    • Issuing progress updates as required regarding costs and timelines
    • Ensuring work is conducted in compliance with all relevant building codes and safety standards
    • Conducting site inspections to verify that the work meets Cennox quality standards
    • Managing subcontractor and supplier relationships
    • Cross-functional coordination across the project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors
    • Materials ordering and management
    • Staff scheduling and management
    • Invoicing
    • Client escalation support

The estimated salary for this role is $100,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
