We are currently looking for a skilled professional to join our Modeling Operations team within the Enterprise Actuarial Modeling division. This position offers flexibility with options for on-site, hybrid, or fully remote work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute production-related tasks throughout the Model development lifecycle, focusing on testing for all valuation and production model implementations and conversion initiatives.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), model validation, and the integration of code changes into the Master model.
- Assist in resolving model defects and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Maintain comprehensive model documentation and collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure proper review and UAT documentation for all model changes, including impacts on key reporting bases and evidence of necessary approvals.
- Oversee model staging and the integration of production models across various use cases.
- Collaborate with IT and other functional areas to create efficient and innovative solutions aimed at simplifying modeling processes, including review and testing procedures.
- Provide troubleshooting and support for Enterprise Prophet users.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, computer science, finance, mathematics, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 6 years of actuarial experience.
- FSA designation is required.
- At least 4 years of experience in model development using Prophet Professional and Prophet Enterprise.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Visual Basic, and SQL.
- A proactive approach with the ability to devise solutions through collaboration with various business partners.
- Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team, managing long-term projects effectively.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in production and/or project management.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies.
