Job Summary

Child and Family Service is seeking a highly skilled EAP Counselor IV to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will provide short-term counseling services to employees and their household members of contracted EAP companies. Your expertise will help individuals and families navigate challenging situations and achieve a better quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide short-term counseling services to employees and their household members, including assessment, goal setting, and solution-focused counseling.
  • Develop and implement action plans to address client needs and concerns.
  • Collaborate with employer representatives to ensure seamless communication and support.
  • Conduct workplace training, orientation sessions, and other programs to promote employee well-being.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in employee assistance and mental health.
Requirements
  • Masters' Degree from a recognized accrediting agency.
  • Professional License (LCSW, MFT, MHC, PH.D. or equivalent) required or obtainable within a year.
  • Over two years of experience in a related field, preferably in employee assistance or mental health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Employee Assistance Programs and organizational development.
  • Knowledge of chemical dependency assessment and certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor.
  • Eligibility as a SAP (Substance Abuse Professional) preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and adapt to changing circumstances.
