Job Title: DSP One to One Support Specialist

At The Kennedy Collective, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate DSP One to One Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our residential support team, you will provide direct support to and advocate for individuals residing in our residential homes.

Job Summary:

The DSP One to One Support Specialist will promote choice, provide appropriate support, and coordinate activities to foster individual well-being, growth, and development. This role requires a strong commitment to person-centered supports, promoting physical and emotional well-being, and advocating for individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote choice and provide support to individuals in residential homes
  • Coordinate activities to foster individual well-being, growth, and development
  • Ensure implementation of individualized support plans (ISPs) and adherence to Kennedy Collective and DDS regulations
  • Supervise and coordinate daily living skills, including personal care, recreation, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Provide professional and timely communication with colleagues, supervisors, families, and guardians
  • Record and maintain accurate records in Therap
  • Administer medications in accordance with DDS regulations
  • Advocate for individuals and teach self-advocacy skills
  • Ensure protection of individual rights and safety, adhering to HIPAA regulations
  • Intervene in emergencies and behavioral situations as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment
  • Provide transportation and accompany individuals on community outings, appointments, and family visits
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office and the internet
