About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a PreOp PACU Specialist at SCA Health. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient's preoperative and postoperative status to identify potential risks and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Implement evidence-based practices to promote patient safety and comfort, including pain management and wound care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote informed decision-making and self-care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to drive excellence in patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current state license to practice.
  • Minimum one year of experience in preoperative or PACU nursing, with a strong background in medical-surgical nursing.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with successful completion of these courses within 90 days of employment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
