Swim Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Swim Instructor to join our aquatics team at the Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness Center in Bentonville, AR.

The Swim Instructor will provide effective and safe swim instruction to adults and children participating in private or small group lessons. The ideal candidate will have a strong swim background, proficiency in all swim strokes, and excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.

• Plan and organize personal class teaching outlines, methods, and goals that support the general teaching outlines provided by the Aquatics Director and the American Red Cross Swimming Program.
• Provide positive instruction, leadership, supervision, control, and safety of all swim lesson patrons.
• Enforce pool safety standards and facility operational rules for all individuals using the facilities.
• Establish positive public relations with parents/guardians of class students, helping them recognize and understand swimming developments and achievements.
• Ensure the health and safety of participants, including ensuring that all teaching and practice areas are free of hazards and that materials and equipment are safe.

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Water Safety Instructor certification from American Red Cross required.
• Adult and pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety & Health Institute required prior to start date.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills, including the ability to motivate others.
• Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands, meet deadlines, and collaborate with all business units.
• Must have a strong swim background and proficiency in all swim strokes.
