Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to work on our 9CN Unit, providing high-quality patient-centered care to our Veterans and their families. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, supporting end-of-life care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide personal patient care, including bathing, feeding, grooming, and mobilizing patients with consideration for their physical and emotional needs.
  2. Assist with treatment services, such as specimen collection and facilitating attendance at scheduled therapies.
  3. Support and participate in patient improvement and safety efforts.
  4. Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and walk, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to observe patients' or residents' physical or emotional status and report any concerns to supervisors.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with completion of specialized training or certification in nursing assistant skills.
