CAD Designer

SWCA Environmental Consultants is a leading provider of environmental services, with a strong presence in the Pittsburgh area. We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Designer to join our team and contribute to a wide range of environmental initiatives.

• Support the implementation and maintenance of company-wide CAD standards
• Produce CAD products for natural, cultural, paleontological, and other environmental resource projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Incorporate attributes from diverse data sources, symbolizing features, and manage file imports/exports across various formats
• Create production and field maps based on metadata, data sets, and geo-databases
• Utilize feature lines for site grading and earthwork balancing
• Perform earthwork volume calculations
• Assist field crews with GPS-grade surveying and data collection

• Associate's degree in Geography, Cartography, CADD Drafting, GIS Technology, or a related field with an emphasis on GIS (or GIS/CADD certificate)
• At least two (2) years of experience in CADD/GIS technology, field data collection techniques, data integration to CADD/GIS, and troubleshooting equipment and digital files
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience with ArcGIS and AutoCAD Map 3D
• Previous experience in natural or cultural resources management, remote sensing, or permitting is a plus
