About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Eligibility Coordinator to join our team at HealthFund Solutions. In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping us empower patients to get the coverage and care they need.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Florida Medicaid eligibility criteria and be able to maintain and respect confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines. They will also possess excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Eligibility Determination: Screen patients bedside and by phone to determine their eligibility for Federal, State, and County programs, including Medicaid, Disability, and ACA Marketplace Insurance.
  • Application Preparation: Assist patients and family members in completing forms, applications, and other paperwork required for Medicaid, Social Security, and other types of eligible funding.
  • Documentation Management: Collect and review patient information to determine eligibility, submit required documentation, and request/file appropriate hearings if needed.
  • Caseload Management: Manage caseload effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines to ensure timely resolution of patient cases.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Full-cycle Florida Medicaid application experience preferred; Disability application experience preferred for both Medicaid and Social Security.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge and understanding of Florida Medicaid eligibility criteria; ability to communicate clearly and concisely; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
What We Offer
  • Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
