Job Overview:

At ARM, we're leading the vision to unlock a broad ecosystem of silicon required for AI, data centers, mobile, compute, and IoT. As a member of our Solutions Engineering team, you'll be delivering optimized design flow, methodology, and full CAD solution for industry-leading compute subsystems and SoCs.

We're seeking outstanding expertise in algorithms and automation specifically tailored for meticulous optimization of power, performance, area, signoff, and silicon quality.

The role brings the opportunity to collaborate with foundry, EDA, and ecosystem partners in 3nm/2nm technodes and multi-die.

Responsibilities:

Develop and define algorithms and automation for optimization of floorplan, placement, clock-tree, voltage scaling, and ECO recovery to deliver leading performance with the smallest power and area.

The goal is to infuse innovative statistical, analytical algorithms, and machine learning methodologies to develop and refine performance bottlenecks.

The suitable candidate will be able to analyze requirements, define, and develop CAD solutions, including external EDA tools integration.

Proficiency with one or more domains of technodes, PG grid, synthesis, place and route, timing, and power is desired.

Required Skills and Experience:
Strong coding proficiency in languages Python, C, Tcl for algorithm development and scripting.

Strong algorithms, data structures, and optimization technologies and experience with CAD methodologies for PPA optimization.

Data analytics, dashboards, and metrics development desired. Integrate EDA tools into automation frameworks, qualify, and release.

Proficiency with version control systems like Git, distributed processing, and disk management.

Ability to work with evolving problem statements and solutions. Excellent problem-solving and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, team spirit, and effective collaboration with multi-functional teams.

Nice To Have:
Experience with RTL synthesis tools, process technology design rules, STA, knowledge of power estimation and analysis methodologies.

Prior experience in SoC design, CAD engineering, and related subject areas with a focus on physical design and signoff is highly desirable.

Salary Range:
$195,542-$264,557 per year
