Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse in Pediatric Outpatient Procedure and Sedation Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Pediatric Outpatient Procedure and Sedation Unit at AdventHealth Orlando. As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to our young patients.

About the Role

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age-specific groups. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care to ensure the best possible outcomes. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans of care, prioritize and complete follow-up assessments, and evaluate and modify the plan of care as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and interpret diagnostic data relative to patient age and condition, including lab results, non-invasive monitoring data, and interdisciplinary team notes.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, prioritizing and completing follow-up assessments, and evaluating and modifying the plan of care as needed.
  • Provide and supervise direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age-specific groups.
  • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, completing thorough hand-off communication in all situations.
  • Exhibit ability to utilize appropriate techniques, verbiage, and resources in all interactions with patients to their level of understanding.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a school of nursing.
  • Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
  • EKG Competency Testing.
