Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist is responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality diagnostic image is produced. This role works closely with radiologists to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize utilization of x-ray services
  • Prepare patient and documentation for diagnostic testing
  • Obtain EMR charts and orders of x-rays to be done on patient
  • Position patient for x-rays to be taken; set correct technique to be used for procedure;
  • Complete x-ray series and take patient back to room
  • Ensure film is developed; send to PACS for doctor review
  • Assist doctors in various duties when needed as assigned
  • Provide superior service to ensure customer satisfaction with patient/provider

Requirements:

  • One year of experience preferred
  • Graduation from a Certified Radiologic Technology program
  • CRT and ARRT Certification
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Ability to conduct quality control studies
  • Ability to use computerized radiologic equipment
  • Ability to operate a computer for recordkeeping purposes

Work Environment:

This role is part of the Pinehurst Surgical Clinic PA team and requires working in a clinic setting.
