About the Role

Dewberry is seeking a highly skilled Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join our team in Raleigh or Charlotte, NC. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for supporting our clients on water and wastewater design projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Modeling: Develop and implement plans for water and wastewater treatment systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Design and Development: Design and develop water and wastewater processes, including process equipment selection and specification.
  • Cost Estimation and Management: Develop opinions of probable project cost and manage project budgets to ensure timely completion.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with design teams and clients to develop detailed design documents, conduct site visits, and provide technical support as needed.
  • Project Management: Assist Project Managers in managing design teams, developing construction plans, and meeting client deadlines.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering; Master's degree in Environmental Engineering preferred.
  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in water and wastewater design, with progressive responsibilities.
  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in NC or ability to obtain with comity.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, and effective communication with clients, coworkers, and regulatory agencies.
