Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surveillance Operations Specialist to join our team at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows. As a Surveillance Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring and recording activities within the casino, ensuring the security and integrity of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and record activities within the casino, including gaming and money handling areas, using video surveillance equipment.
  • Observe and report any suspicious or irregular activity, including gaming violations and thefts of company property.
  • Operate monitor room equipment, including basic computer functions, to provide security for company assets and funds.
  • Maintain video surveillance of the entire casino, including gaming floor, race/sports book, food and beverage outlets, cashiers, count rooms, parking lots, and hotel/casino complex.
  • Record any irregular activity as required and participate in court actions relating to gaming violations.
  • Learn all games in use at the property, including procedures and cheating indicators, and use various card count systems.
  • Maintain paper and video logs according to departmental and company procedures, and write reports as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with gaming regulations, company policy, and departmental procedures.
  • Report and offer solutions for any area of vulnerability to loss from internal or external sources.
  • Respond to surveillance supervision and gaming control requests, as well as all other departments when necessary.
  • Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Background in video or electronics strongly preferred; prior casino and support service experience a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
  • Thorough knowledge of casino games and operations preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of casino cheating, scams, card counting, and player evaluations preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Vision correctable to 20/20 with normal color acuity.
